CRB has successfully designed over $1 billion of constructed Greenfield and renovated facilities using 3D and intelligent database modeling tools. Our approach utilizes computer aided modeling techniques from simple 3D layouts of building and equipment to highly rendered visualizations of the complete planned facility. Fully database-driven, interactive design models can be utilized if it's right for the project. CRB has invested significant resources developing the tools and expertise necessary to execute projects utilizing modeling from initial conceptual development through detailed designed and construction turnover. It is not an add-on capability, but simply the environment in which we work.

There is no one tool for all disciplines. CRB integrates the right tools for the right approach whether it is just 3D CAD, Intelligent P&IDs or 3D models, or fully integrated, Intelligent Plant Design/BIM design tools to ensure owners realize the maximum benefits of a 3D modeled facility.

While, like many of our competitors, CRB can generate a variety of exterior visualization styles, the strength of our approach is that we work the entire facility, particularly focusing on integrated development of the building, process equipment and high cost process spaces. Visualizations can be as simple or rendered as the need dictates.

CRB is able to attain a higher level of design coordination, faster, through visualization at the point of greatest cost impact on a project. Basic design visualizations are presented not just as non-dimensional views, but extracted real-time as traditional dimensional plans and sections which are utilized for other aspects of the design.

Most importantly, designing in 3D/BIM allows owners and users to be intimately involved with the facility design early on. Users and stake-holders are able to walk through the 3D model to gain a full perspective of what the facility will look like, how their functional areas will be laid out and provide the designer with suggestions for facility improvements, modification needed and overall input. This integrated team of owner, architect, construction manager, and engineer work together to truly design a facility with the end-user in mind. End-users have a sense of ownership in their functional areas; stake-holders have pride and confidence that the facility meets their needs and the significant capital budget was wisely invested.
