As a part of Alcon's ongoing control system upgrade project, CRB designed and installed a process control system to automate three terminal sterilizers and one sterile bottle filling line.
Each sterilizer can execute several different cycles, depending on the load sterilized and the operator's selection. The control system monitors and controls load and unload door locks, steam injection, water cascades, water fills, compressed air injection, chamber temperature, load temperature, exhaust and drying and other sterilizer features. It also controls the bottle conveying, filling, capping and sealing operations for different bottle sizes and products.
