CRB prepared the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, plumbing, and fire protection design for a new, multi-million dollar Pharmaceutical Laboratory Research Center. The new 160,000 square foot facility will provide ultra high throughput screening, and combinatorial chemistry biomolecular research capabilities for Sphinx's pre-drug discovery used by Eli Lilly and Company, a global pharmaceuticals company.
Electrical work included a 2,000-kw diesel generator; a 480 volt, three-phase, 4,000 amp double-ended service UPS system; telecommunication and data systems, security and fire alarm systems, power distribution and lighting systems for lab and office spaces. Life Cycle cost analyses were conducted for system and equipment alternatives, as well as on-going value engineering options.
