Sustainable Design for Office Upfit

Bayer, Crop Science Division Location: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina Square Footage: 160,000 Construction Cost: $28,000,000
Bayer’s North American Crop Science Division Headquarters required a modernization to be reflective of a modern brand, accommodate increased staff levels and attract professionals to Bayer. CRB provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to help create an efficient, modern facility within the existing building envelope on Bayer’s growing campus.

The renovated facility features modernized office spaces that look and feel more comfortable and efficient and provide increased daylighting to create a visually stimulating and productive environment for its occupants. The 160,000-square-foot renovated facility accommodates 700 occupants—an increase of 200 occupants in the same space. In 2016, this facility achieved LEED® Gold certification.
