CRB is often called upon by our clients to uncover energy savings. In the November issue of Food Engineering, Jeremy Gualdoni explains an energy recovery strategy used for a confectionery client in “Solving the Energy Equation.”
Gualdoni details how CRB ran the numbers for an energy recovery strategy to transfer waste heat from the air compressors and the compressed air dryers to the process hot water for a confectionery client. This reduced load on the chillers and cooling towers to cool the equipment as well as the load on the boilers to heat the water.
