Innovator, Entrepreneur and Pharmaceutical/S&T End-User Jack Zarour Joins CRB

CRB gains an additional 40 years of experience in design and construction management of pharmaceutical and high technology industrial projects with the hire of Jack Zarour. Jack will assume the role of Quality Control Manager for CRB’s Western Region operations. In this position, Jack will work and consult with CRB project teams and other senior CRB executives on key quality control issues and regulatory compliance implementation, providing a comprehensive end-user perspective and extensive knowledge of energy efficiencies and emerging environmentally saving technologies.
Until recently, Jack served as Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Engineering Technology department (PTAA-T) of Global Engineering – Americas region at Genentech, Inc. Over the course of his nine years at Genentech he was involved in a number of US and International projects, providing engineering design leadership for mechanical based systems. Prior to Genentech, he held senior positions at Any Facility, IDC, Silicon Valley Mechanical, Syntex, Xidex, and National Semiconductor.
Jack holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC) from California Polytechnic State University, Construction Management Certification from San Jose State University, an A.A. in Mechanical Technology from San Francisco City College, and a CPE Certificate from the American Institute of Plant Engineers. He is a member of the American Facilities Engineers (AFE), the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Jack’s ASHRAE involvement does not stop at membership; he is the current Regional Vice Chair for the Western States, as well as past Society Board Member and Regional Director for the Western States, and past San Jose Chapter President. Additionally, earlier this year he received ASHRAE’s Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the society and the building industry.
