The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) selected CRB to provide code consulting services for UCSF’s existing Parnassus Heights campus. The project involves development of a comprehensive code compliance report for 20 of the existing campus buildings, based  on field investigations and historic document research of the University’s archive files.

Specifically, comprehensive code analysis of existing buildings including evaluation of compliance with the current building code and development of a conceptual framework for an Alternate Means of Compliance strategy for bringing the existing buildings into alignment and compliance with current codes.

The Parnassus Heights campus is home to UCSF’s four health sciences professional schools, most of the medical center’s adult clinical services including tertiary and quaternary specialty care, and the dental clinics. Parnassus Heights is also a major research site concentrated on basic science disease-oriented research programs, and clinical and translational research programs, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of human disease as well as the care of patient populations.

Our Oakland-based team is especially excited about this project because we are able to help researchers discover more life changing cures by enabling the facility update mission at the UCSF Parnassus Heights Campus!
