Renee Benson, lead packaging engineer and project manager with St. Louis’ food + beverage team, has been selected to moderate a panel at this year’s MinnPack, the premiere packaging event in Minnesota. MinnPack, part of the Midwest’s largest advanced design and manufacturing event, offers educational conferences, renowned keynote speakers and opportunities to network with thousands of attendees in the food and beverage arenas.

Held in Minneapolis Oct. 31 through Nov. 1, this year’s event is expected to draw more than 5,000 attendees. It will feature more than 500 exhibitors and present insights from more than 60 thought leaders in the industry.

Benson will moderate the Food & Beverage Packaging Panel where panelists will discuss how they are handling a rapidly evolving industry within their respective organizations. Other panelists include Bill Dye, corporate operations engineering manager with Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and Kristin Davidson, president of Ultra Green Packaging.

This panel is particularly relevant during this time of rapid acceleration in the food and beverage packaging industry. Strict food safety regulations have led companies to focus on innovative packaging that will keep food fresh and retain its flavor for a longer time. Consumers are becoming ever-more aware of and preferential to healthy and hygienic food, triggering a growing demand for attractive and convenient packaging to continue to drive market growth.
